Brockton Point

The Brockton Point Lighthouse is a fixture in the Coal Harbour/Stanley Park experience.
This is shot from a six-seater helicopter swapped in for the usual Helijet. Great aircraft with wide glass for photography.

This week is going to be a challenge, so I'm starting it off with a blast of color to rev my spirits into high-gear.
Pentax K-x with 50mm f/2.4 manual focus macro.

A view of Vancouver Harbour. Three exposure HDR tonemapped. Ya I popped it. If ya don't like, it's alright.

I think this might be the widest view of Vancouver I have captured. Almost the original size but slightly rotated to make things more vertical. Below is a cyanotype version of the same shot.

This is an aerial shot of my buddy Michael's place. Well, he lives in one of the towers here. I'll let him mark it.

The last light of the day yesterday held out for some nice rays under the heaviness of falling darkness. the textured sky was quite cool and can be seen in detail in the larger sizes.

Granville and Burrard bridges cross False Creek in Vancouver.
This was the first time I used my 80-210 telephoto from the helicopter. It performed well and provided much more in the way of individual subjects, different angles and generally better detail. This Tokina Autofocus is such a nice lens. f/4 throughout the range means you can shoot in even cloudy weather with good results.
